This is a small world in the world of serial killers. Especially in the monster saga. Do you remember Ed Gain in Dahmeri? He appeared there! Before Charlie Huna Wisconsin’s killer played in Monster: Ed Gein Story, the character has already made a short but noteworthy appearance in the first season dedicated to Jeffrey Dahmer. And you probably miss you.
A stinging but symbolic appearance
In Dahmeri, Ed Gain appears during the prison scene. Jeffrey Dahmer (Evan Peters) was finally arrested by police and discovered when the horrors committed by his predecessor (Richard Jenkins) were organized by his lawyer and his father (Richard Jenkins). The idea is, as Ed Gain: admitted that he is not guilty of nonsense and thus avoids life in prison.
It is actress Shane Kerwin, who briefly performs the “pleinfield butcher” in the 8th episode, creating a sophisticated connection between the two monsters of Wisconsin.
This appearance was not minor. This is well understood by the season 3: Gain’s case has contributed to the archetype of modern serial killer in public consciousness. His crimes were inspired by the future images of such persons in the stories of fiction and true crime.

A major influence
Even without this scene, Ed Gain’s shadow has already shattered the Dahmer series. Although Gain and Dahmer’s offenses are different from their “specificity”, Gain’s case has deeply affected the public understanding of serial killers and influenced their image in the media.
However, we note that two men shared the annoying common points: Gain and Dahmer had both normal personalities … obviously! Monster emphasizes the banal existence of Dahmer or Gain and is strongly opposed to their horrific actions.
This brief appearance was “appetizing” before Ryan Murphy dedicated the whole season to Ed Gain. Attentive for fans who have the scale of the Prophet. Charlie Huna simply took over from Shin Kerwin to get the life of this character who has been the imagination of American true crime since the 1950s.
