THE Barcelona should not renew the Polish striker’s contract Roberto Lewandowski. According to Spanish newspaper Sport, the club does not have the 37-year-old top scorer for next season due to a drop in performance compared to the rest of the squad.

At the start of the 2025/2026 season, Lewandowski scored four goals in nine games.

The newspaper also reports that the Catalan management are already making it a priority to sign a younger striker to replace the Polish top scorer, as well as a new right-back. Barcelona likes the name of Etta Eyong, from Levante.

At Barcelona from 2022, Lewandowski is already wanted by clubs in the Arab world. However, it is not the number nine’s will to accept proposals from this market.

Also according to the newspaper Sport, the player, who is in the final stage of his career, should look for a team close to Barcelona to continue playing, as he and his family show a desire to continue living in Catalonia.
