Friend and musical partner Carole Bayer Sager told us about her last meeting with the 79-year-old actress who died on the 11th

Diane Keaton (Neurotic Groom, Nervous Bride), one of the most iconic faces in American cinema, died on Saturday (11), aged 79, in California. A few weeks before her death, the actress had received a visit from one of her closest friends, the composer Carole Bayer Sager — which recalled the last moments of the two.

In an interview with People, Carole said she was surprised by the appearance of Diane on occasion. “I saw Diane two or three weeks ago, and she was very thin. I had lost a lot of weight”, he reported.

The Grammy and Oscar-winning artist described her friend as “a magic light” in your life. “She was so special, she lit up any room with the energy she had. She was always happy, excited, taking photos of everything. She was completely creative — she never stopped creating.

Close friends confirm that, even in recent days, Diane He maintained a sharp sense of humor and a striking personality. “She was funny until the end”, one of them told People. “She lived exactly how she wanted—at her own pace, surrounded by the people and things she loved.
