Track previews new album and will have free premiere with party

One of the biggest names in the history of national rap, Dexter is back with new material after a decade. Last Friday, the 17th, the rapper released the single “Life That Goes On”which marks the beginning of a new phase in his career and anticipates the long-awaited album Frustrations, Dogmas, Convictions.

The song comes accompanied by a music video directed by John Waineraward-winning journalist and filmmaker, also recognized for his work on the music video “Funk Rave”from Anitawho won the VMA 2023 for Best Latin Video. The partnership between the two promises to give the launch the visual and symbolic weight that his career Dexter carries since the group’s days 509-E.

To celebrate the launch, Dexter organizes a special premiere this Sunday, 19th, at Ocupação 9 de Julho, in the center of São Paulo. The event will be free, starting at noon, and will feature a diverse program: screening of the clip, chat with the artist, samba circle and DJing. Entry is free for all ages.

“Life That Goes On” reinforces the lyrical and social power that marked the work of Dexter since the beginning of the 2000s. The new album, scheduled for the next few months, should explore themes such as overcoming, faith, injustice and transformation, in line with the rapper’s personal and artistic trajectory.
