it was recently confirmed that the tenth film of the Mountain range the franchise was on its way when it received an official release date for the 2023 Halloween season. We rarely see movie franchises reaching ten entries and it would be understandable if fans of Mountain range they began to have the fatigue of frankness. But the man who started it all, writer / director James Wan, is amazed that his little independent horror project has made it this far.
James Wan, who wrote and directed the original Mountain rangeand has since remained an executive producer on the franchise instagram when he X-saw The release was announced and people were talking about the humble beginnings of the series, with a first film shot quickly and cheaply. I certainly had no idea it would spawn an entire franchise.
James Wan may not have had the first clue as to which one was first Mountain range movie would mean. Not only would this launch a new horror franchise, one of the most successful in recent years, but it would launch it into the stratosphere of directing. Time Wan still comes back to horror from time to time. also driven Fast & Furious film and aquatic man film, all thanks to the success of this little independent horror film set mostly in a dirty basement.
The Mountain range The franchise has been a mainstay of Halloween for several years, with new entries posted every fall. there was a new one Mountain range each year from the original from 2004 to 2010. Each provided fans with new creative adornments and new violent and bloody deaths. which potentially founds Mountain range However, other horror franchises aside, instead of making up a story to justify killing a new group of people, Mountain range has a coherent narrative running through the franchise. There is a wild story behind the people of Mountain range set the traps that require you to have seen all the other movies for everything to make sense. Even then, it makes little sense.
The only exception is the last film in the series. Spiralwhich, although technically it is the ninth Mountain range film, is more of a spin-off, focusing on new characters using the violent elements of the franchise, but it doesn’t continue the story of Jigsaw, the name associated with the series’ main villain.
Was it was first announced in early 2021, first Spiral was even released, which one-tenth Mountain range was in development and now it’s confirmed. Kevin Greutert who directed Visa VI Yes 3D saw will guide the new entry. What is unclear at this point is whether the new film will pick up where from Spiral left, since this film left a cliffhanger ending or if we get something that more directly matches the rest of the franchise’s offerings.
