Movie quiz: 7 pictures, 7 movie posters to identify!

Among the many quizzes we offer each week, it is often the case that the game mechanics revolve around movie posters. So last month, we kicked off our alphabet book and asked you to try to find seven movies using only the letter “A” in each of them.

The first ‘A’ offered was a navy blue on a dark green background, with a slightly tribal looking typography. Were we then in the underwater depths of the Abyss, in the lush jungles of Tarzan, or on Avatar’s distant planet Pandora? 82% of you checked the correct answer, in this case a sci-fi movie by James Cameron.

Always more A’s

The next image showed a very strong design, a large “A” elongated vertically in intense black, bordered by bright golden yellow. The three suggestions you were given came from the 80s with Terminator, Total Recall and Batman. And it was the last sentence we had to check, in this case, the Tim Burton version of Batman from 1989, as three quarters of you did.

The sixth question was particularly difficult with “A” beyond which we could guess the sea. Then it was very tempting to choose the answer Waterworld, the 1995 film in which Kevin Costner and his companions had to survive on an Earth covered by oceans. The answer was also checked by 40% of you when only half chose the correct answer Wall-E.

So today we’re continuing the alphabet book to find seven new movies, this time using only the letter “B.” It depends on you!
