F1: Norris wins the Mexican GP and regains the leadership of the World Championship

Leclerc finished second; Bortoleto scored again for Sauber

In a positive race by Charles Leclerc and Gabriel Bortoleto, McLaren driver Lando Norris overtook his Ferrari opponent and won the Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix this Sunday (26). The Briton also regained the lead in the World Championship.

Norris’ victory was peaceful, but the big fight at the Hermanos Rodriguez circuit was for second place, while Leclerc and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen battled fiercely for position, with a happy ending for the Monegasque.

Seven-time F1 world champion Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton took a penalty and finished the stage in eighth place, behind Oliver Bearman (Haas), Oscar Piastri (McLaren), Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) and George Russell (Mercedes).

Sauber’s Brazilian Bortoleto returned to the points, finishing the race in 10th place.

F1 will return in two weeks with the Sao Paulo GP, on the Interlagos circuit, on November 9th. The race on Brazilian soil will be the 21st of the 2025 season.
