Disney + has released the poster, trailer and music video for the Mexican series “Pais por Acidente” (Papás Por Encargo), which stars famous actors from Disney productions. The preview suggests a combination of “Three Bachelors and a Little Lady” (1990) with “No We Accept Returns” (2013), but in a version of a musical road movie.
With Jorge Blanco (“Violetta”), Michael Ronda (“Sou Luna”) and Lalo Brito (“Buscando a Timbiriche: La Nueva Banda”), together with the young Farah Justiniani (“La Voz Kids”), the new series presents the trip of a 13-year-old girl (Justianini) with her three adoptive parents, after her mother sent her the keys to an old van. The trip aims to find her mother, who mysteriously disappeared long ago in the Mexican countryside. Her adoptive parents are not very convinced of her idea, but she feels that this journey will lead them to her happiness: she will finally be able to see her mother of her and finally they will all be together forever.
But until they reach their destination, they will face many adventures and sing many songs.
Recorded in several Mexican cities, such as Zacatecas, Mazatlán, Pátzcuaro, La Paz and Durango, the production aims to celebrate the family in all its diversity, as well as underline the value of cultural identity.
With ten episodes written by Ana Sofia Clerici (“El Jeremías”) and directed by Javier Colinas (“Looking for a Father”) and Anwar Safa (also from “El Jeremías”), “Pais por Acidente” will premiere in Brazil on August 24.
Watch below the trailer in two versions (dubbed in Portuguese and in the original Spanish language) and a music video, with some songs accompanying the journey of the series.
