Netflix has released the posters and subtitled trailer for “Heartbreak High: Where Everything Happens,” a new streaming teen series – which is actually a reboot of a 1990s Australian production. The preview gives an Australian “Sex Education” vibe, with tension between teachers and students due to a sexual mural depicting who did what with whom.
To cope with the situation, the school decides to force students to participate in an educational program on sexuality. But the author of the play (Ayesha Madon, “The Moth Effect”) has to face the consequences and the hatred of her peers. Fortunately for her, she has also gained fans with her initiative.
Created by Hannah Carroll Chapman (“The Heights”), Ben Gannon (producer of the original series) and Michael Jenkins (from the classic comedy “Craziness of a Passion”), the series features a number of young rookies.
The first is scheduled for September 14th.
