The actor will give life to the famous Truman Capote and will be accompanied by Calista Flockhart, Diane Lane, Naomi Watts and Chloë Sevigny.
The second season of ‘Feud’produced by FX, has added to its main cast Tom HollanderCalista Flockhart Y Diana Laneas exclusively confirmed Variety. The interpreters will accompany the actresses already announced, naomi watts Y Chloe Sevigny, in this new installment of fiction.
The second batch of the anthology series created by Ryan Murphy will revolve around the relationship Truman Capote with New York high society and how their bond deteriorated after the publication of some excerpts from his unfinished novel ‘Plegarias Atendidas’. In them, secret information about different members of this social class was revealed, which generated a great stir and fractured the apparent atmosphere of perfection that surrounded this select circle.
Hollander will star in the fiction giving life to Capote, with Lane playing Nancy ‘Slim’ Keith and Flockhart to Lee Radiziwill. It had already been previously announced that Watts would get into the skin of the renowned “sofficiality“: Barbara ‘Babe’ Paleyand Sevigny would participate in the role of CZ Guest.
Gus Van Sant will direct the eight episodes that make up the season. Jon Robin Baitz will be present in the script team and will also be the showrunner. Watts will also be an executive producer, along with Murphy himself through Ryan Murphy Productions.
At first it was announced that the new season of ‘Feud’ was going to focus on the story between Carlos and Diana, Princes of Wales. However, this idea was rejected almost from the start. The first batch of ‘Feud: Bette and Joan’, released in 2017, starred Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon, who played Joan Crawford and Bette Davis, respectively. The plot recounted the relationship (and the war) of the two actresses during the filming in 1962 of the film ‘What happened to Baby Jane?‘.
Among other scandals, when the first season aired, the question was raised: Did Joan Crawford do porn as ‘Feud’ suggests? And it is that, if something characterizes Ryan Murphy, it is that he does not exactly have “outspoken” when it comes to telling stories (whether real or fictional). Now we just have to wait to see what gruesome secrets come to light in this new release.
