According to the agreement signed between the clubs, the loan includes an automatic purchase clause worth R$30.3 million
San Paolo is very close to concluding the negotiation which should confirm the transfer of midfielder Rodrigo Nestor to Bahia. The player, who currently defends the Tricolor de Aço on loan until the end of 2025, should even sign a permanent contract with the Bahian club in the coming weeks. The information was initially published on the “GE” website.
According to the agreement signed between the clubs, the loan includes an automatic purchase clause worth 4.7 million euros (approximately R$30.3 million), if Nestor plays at least 45 minutes in 25 matches. He has already achieved this in 22 games so far, and Bahia still has eight matches to play this season, all with the Brasileirão.
The tendency, in fact, is for the parties to choose to complete the transfer even before reaching the expected number. In the payment, in fact, Bahia will have to include the sums that San Paolo will still have to pay to Grupo City for the purchase of defender Ferraresi, made last year.
The conversations are well underway and the legal departments are even exchanging documents and adjusting the final details to formalize the agreement.
Revealed in the youth categories of Sao Paulo, Nestor, in fact, stood out for having been decisive in the unprecedented title of the Copa do Brasil 2023, with the goal in the final against Flamengo. In 2024, however, under the guidance of Thiago Carpini and then Luis Zubeldía, the midfielder was unable to repeat the same splendor of the previous season.
