NCIS: LA Showrunner provides updates on the plan to bring back Linda Hunt’s Hetty for season 14

fan of NCIS: Los Angeles They’ve waited a long time for the return of Linda Hunt’s Hetty, who last appeared in the Season 13 premiere and had very little screen time in recent seasons. Showrunner R. Scott Gemmill teased a possible return of Hetty in season 14 and has now provided an update on her return plan. And it turns out that she may have something to do with Callen and Anna’s wedding.

Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Anna (Bar Paly) are finally engaged NCIS: Los AngelesSeason 13 finale. So the wedding could bring surprise guests? R. Scott Gemmill anticipated next season with television line, most notably the plan to bring Linda Hunt’s beloved character Hetty Lange back to life. The idea, apparently, is that Callen “realizes that he has some unfinished business and wouldn’t want to get married without Hetty around.” Gemmill went on to say:

The plan is to save her at some point, find out what she got into. We’re just trying to figure out in time when we can do it. That was also last year’s plan, but it didn’t materialize. we had some [COVID variant] they increase, but things seem to calm down a bit. Let’s hope nothing new happens and we can make it happen this year.

I’m really curious to see what might happen, as Hetty is back in Syria in the season 13 premiere and may be in a tough spot. Waiting for her to return was difficult to say the least. Although R. Scott Gemmill has confirmed that he won’t be returning until the end of season 13, he apparently worked hard to follow up on Hetty’s absence in season 14. Luckily, it now looks like it’s going to happen, but when exactly it happens is the question remains.

To be honest, it’s hard to imagine Callen and Anna getting married without Hetty, because she played such a big part in Callen’s life. With the lineup set for Linda Hunt, one wonders if the show’s narrative will remain fluid. I mean, if the COVID misadventures continue, will Callen and Anna continue to push their marriage on the show?

As mentioned, Linda Hunt has appeared sporadically in the last few seasons of NCIS: Los Angeles. Hetty was missing at the start of season 10 due to Hunt’s involvement in a car accident, though the star ultimately provided a positive update at the time. Hunt was then set for the final episodes of the season, though plans later changed. COVID later created concerns for the NCIS protagonist, but was able to return for great moments, such as Nell and Eric’s heartfelt farewell in the Season 12 finale.

We hope Hetty’s return happens sooner rather than later and Callen and Anna’s wedding is unforgettable. I’m sure many fans like me are looking forward to the day when R. Scott Gemmill and company. to make an official announcement of the stern and lovable character’s return to the drama series.

Don’t miss the season 14 premiere of NCIS: Los Angeles Sunday, October 9th at 10pm EST on CBS! Also, be sure to check out Gossipify’s 2022 TV schedule for more information on which shows will premiere or return in the coming months.
