Apple TV + has announced that actress Julianna Margulies (“The Good Wife”) will return for the third season of “The Morning Show”. She will reprise her portrayal of UBA News host Laura Peterson, joining the show’s stellar cast, which in the new episodes will also include the recently announced Jon Hamm (“Mad Men”).
The third season of “The Morning Show” is already underway and will mark Charlotte Stroud’s (“Fosse / Verdon”) debut as showrunner, replacing Kerry Ehrin at the helm. The creator of the series, who is developing new attractions for Apple TV +, will continue as a consultant for the show.
The drama starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon had several polarizing events in its second year of production, including the departure of Steve Carell, who helped make the series one of Apple’s most talked about.
The cast also includes Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Desean Terry, Janina Gavankar, Victoria Tate, Greta Lee, Valeria Golino, Ruairi O’Connor, Holland Taylor and Nestor Carbonell.
There is no release date for the new episodes yet.
