Line Renaud and Dany Boon reunite for the nostalgic comedy Une belle course, directed by Christian Carrion (a swallow does not make spring). The film was presented at the opening of the Angoulême festival this Tuesday evening.

Danny Boone and Line Renaud Reuniting for the fourth film, 14 years after the huge success of Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis (2008). The two also collaborated on La Maison du bonheur in 2005 and more recently on La Ch’tite famille in 2018.

The plot of Une belle is as follows: Madeleine, 92 years old, calls a taxi to reach the nursing home where she is now supposed to live. She asks Charles, a slightly disillusioned driver, to drive past the places that have been important in his life to see them one last time.

Gradually, an extraordinary past appears in the bends of the streets of Paris, which excites Charles. There’s a taxi ride that can change your life… Screenplay by Christian Carrion and Cyril Gehle.

Alice Isaaz and Jeremy Laherty round out the cast around Line Renaud and Dany Boon.

The beautiful race will be released on September 21. The 15th Angoulême Francophonie Film Festival will be held from August 23 to 28.
