Netflix has released the poster and trailer for “Lou”, an action thriller starring Allison Janney (Oscar winner for “I, Tonya”) and Jurnee Smollett (“Lovecraft Country”).
The plot follows a desperate mother (Smollett), who seeks help from her lonely neighbor (Janney) after her daughter is kidnapped from their isolated location. The two embark on a dangerous and violent rescue journey as they try to keep their secrets, including their neighbor’s skill for the mission and the reason for the kidnapping.
The film is written by Maggie Cohn (“Narcos: Mexico”) and directed by Anna Foerster (“Underworld: Blood Wars”).
The first is scheduled for 23 September.
