After Les Estivants, released in 2019, actress-director Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi is back behind the camera with Les Amandiers.
This time Turin takes us to the end of the 80s, the story tells about Stella, Etienne, Adele and a whole group of young people.
They take an entrance exam at the Amandie Theater in Nanterre, a famous school created by Patrice Chérault and Pierre Romance.
With full speed launched into life, passion, games, love, they will live together at the turning point of their lives, but also at the first great tragedies.
Announcement of a young actor
In competition at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, this dramatic comedy moved the audience, especially thanks to the performance of Nadia Tereshkevich, a true discovery of the film.
The young 26-year-old actress has already distinguished herself only in Beasts, where she has already crossed paths with Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi and the series Dix pour Cent. Additionally, in April 2022, Nadia shared a poster for Monia Chokri’s comedy Nanny.
In Les Amandiers, he responds to a whole group of promising young actresses, such as Sofiane Benasser, Clara Breteau, Vassily Schneider or Alexia Chardar, Abdellatif Kechiche’s Mektub My Declaration of Love.
Louis Garrel also stars as Patrice Shero, a demanding drama teacher. As for Micah Lescott, he plays Pierre Roman.
Les Amandiers hits theaters on November 16.
