At the last Comic Con – where Kevin Feige introduced the next phases of the MCU – Marvel showed us that they have a well-developed plan for its next few years. But if there are a few superheroes missing, it’s the X-Men. And yet, their arrival continues to be a tease.
In Miss Marvel, for example, we find out in the finale that Kamala is a mutant. And although the words X-Men are never used, the theme of the cartoon left no doubt in the background. And She-Hulk arrives to add a layer.
In episode 2 released yesterday, we can see a slight nod to Wolverine. If you stop at minute 6 and look closely at the workplace Jennifer is visiting, you will be able to read the following sentence:A man fights with metal claws during a fight“Which translates to ‘man with metal claws fighting in a bar.'” A description that perfectly fits our legendary X-Men.
If Marvel never mentions them directly, it doesn’t mean that Maison des Idées won’t develop something around mutants in general. If the rumors of a movie centered around Professor Xavier and others are going well, nothing has been officially announced. And an X-Men-centric movie isn’t supposed to come out until Phase 7.
