Actress Erika Januza confessed that she felt fear during the recording of the second season of “Arcanjo Renegado”, which premiered Thursday (25/8) on Globoplay. Her character Sarah in the new episodes becomes a military police officer and, in one of the scenes, has to climb the hill of the Rocinha favela.
This direct contact with the reality of Rio de Janeiro led Contagem of Minas Gerais to reflect. “It struck me a lot. It was a nuisance. An imaginary shooting scene, in a place where people really experience it,” he told Otaviano Costa’s OstaLab.
“What scared me was getting into uniform. Until they realized it was a tape, people looked at us as if asking ‘what are they doing here’? They looked at us, but not with a pretty face.” he said.
After the initial scare, however, the reception became quite positive, with many people piling up to watch the tapes. One of the attractions of the audience was the participation of the singer Ludmilla, who joined the cast in the role of Diana, a new police officer in the plot.
“And it shook her, you see? She concentrated, she asked for advice, but she did very well, she was very much appreciated by the directors,” said the actress, revealing, even though Ludmilla “improvised, she did great things” .
Erika Januza also confirmed the renewal of the series. “The third season of ‘Archangel Renegade’ is already written and is coming. And hopefully Ludmilla will come with me,” she said.
In addition to the detective series conceived by José Junior (founder of the AfroReggae cultural group and also author of “A Division”), the actress is part of the cast of “A Magia de Aruna”, a children’s series on Disney + scheduled for 2023, in where a witch lives, together with Giovanna Ewbank and Cleo Pires.
