
Actor Jesse Lee Soffer has announced his departure from the “Chicago PD” series. In a press release, detective performer Jay Halstead said that the tenth season, which begins on the 21st in the United States, will be his farewell to production.
“I want to thank the incredible fans for their unwavering support over the past 10 years and express my deepest gratitude to Dick Wolf and everyone at Wolf Entertainment, Peter Jankowski, Matt Olmstead, Derek Haas, Michael Brandt, Rick Eid, Gwen Sigan, NBC , Universal Television, my co-stars and our incredible crew, “he said in a statement.
He concluded: “Creating this drama hour by hour, week after week has been a labor of love for everyone involved in the show. I will always be proud of my time as Detective Jay Halstead.”
The actor has played Halstead since the NBC series debut in 2014, appearing in all 187 episodes aired to date.
In Brazil, the series is available on the Universal pay channel and streamed from Globoplay and Amazon Prime Video.
