This is a confrontation that the creators of House of the Dragon certainly did not expect. The Game of Thrones prequel is under fire from critics today after its credits were revealed during Episode 2, which aired Monday, August 29 on OCS City.
Many fans really didn’t like the decision to use the Game of Thrones theme for the opening sequence of its spin-off. And we are obviously not talking about a re-orchestration or a modified version, but the authentic theme used in eight seasons of the main series!
The choice is certainly justified by the intention of confirming the links that unite the two series (despite the 172 years that separate their stories), but some viewers experienced it as simple.
Never mind, the disappointment caused by the credits didn’t stop the series from signing historic audiences in the US and being officially renewed for a second season.

I really like the Game of throne world, but this intro is a bit ugly π₯Ίπ₯Ί

Yeah, I found it very odd that the credits have the same music… (as much as I liked the little musical reminders in the soundtrack, there are honestly too many) #Dragon House https://t.co/cwkxZ8zfzH

House of the Dragon titles are really very beautiful visually and worse, listening to the music of Game Of Thrones is still emotional.#hot #DragonHouse HBO pic.twitter.com/LTesng0Ioq
