THE Disney+ released the trailer for their upcoming original movie “The Enchanted Sneakers”which debuts exclusively on May 13 on the streaming. From the studio behind great franchises like “descendants“, “High School Musical” and “ZOMBIES”this pop/hip-hop musical is set in New York City and revolves around the vibrant and edgy street style of sneakers. The story gives a contemporary twist to the Cinderella fairy tale.
El is an aspiring tennis designer from Queens who works as a stock clerk at a shoe store and hides his artistic talent. He feels a deep connection after a chance meeting with Kira King, daughter of Darius King — the basketball legend — and something of a “Blue Princess” of Manhattan. With the help of his best friend and a little magic, El finds the courage to use his talents and dream big.

Chosen Jacobs and Lexi Underwood play El and Kira, respectively, alongside a diverse and multi-talented cast that includes John Salley, Devyn Nekoda, Juan Chioran, Bryan Terrell Clark, Kolton Stewart, Robyn Alomar, Yvonne Senat Jones and Hayward Leach.
“The Enchanted Sneakers” it’s an original movie Disney+, from Disney Branded Television, directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum, who also serves as co-executive producer. Jane Startz and Rachel Watanabe-Batton are executive producers. The television script was written by David Light & Joseph Raso, Tamara Chestna and Mindy Stern & George Gore II and is based on the story by Stern & Gore and Light & Raso. Chestna also serves as an executive producer.
