Taylor Swift at the Toronto Film Festival

Taylor Swift will appear at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival.

The music superstar will make an appearance on In Conversation With… on September 9 on Bell Lightbox. Swift will also present the first screen Very good: a short film at 35mm.

“We are excited to hear from Taylor on how his absorption in film led to his creation. Very good: a short filmthat we are introducing for the first time at TIFF in its original 35mm form,” said Cameron Bailey, CEO of TIFF, in a statement on Friday.

Based on Swift’s song “All Too Well”, Very good: a short filmWritten and directed by Swift, it follows a young man and a woman who fall in love but fall apart over time. Swift will also appear in a short film alongside Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien.

The short film is the soundtrack to the 10-minute version of the song of the same name.

“It was very natural to write the song and imagine it in my head before we made the shoot list and thought through the stories and chose who we wanted to lead each department and who would help us piece together the puzzle,” said Swift, who also made the music videos for “Cardigan” and “Willow,” he said during a speech at the Tribeca Film Festival, in which he referred to his short film.

The Tribeca appearance included Swift performing a 10-minute live version of “All Too Well”. It is unknown if this performance will be repeated in Toronto.
