We do know this: King Visser I suffers from a strange illness that causes his flesh to rot, which explains the great importance of the question of his succession. In the second episode, we discovered that the disease had spread to the fingers on his left hand when he succumbed to the unorthodox treatment of having his forearm plunged into a magician’s bowl to remove the necrotic flesh.
This detail was not forgotten in Dragon House Episode 3, but come to think of it, it would have been better if it had been… because the special effects glove was forgotten by the post-production team, resulting in a false connection that caused a lot of laughter on social media!
To facilitate the digital effects, Paddy Considine (Viserys’ interpreter) actually donned a green glove so his fingers could be digitally erased during editing. Practical filming advice… provided you don’t forget it in post-production, of course!
A small oversight that reminds us of the famous coffee cup that was “forgotten” on the table in the foreground in the last season of Game of Thrones and which was also kindly mocked in its prequel “Dragon House” when it was released on August 22.
