Cara Sheppard Named President of Picture Shop

Cara Shepard has been named president of Picture Shop, the imaging division of post-production company Streamland Media.

Most recently, he served as Managing Director of London’s Twickenham Film Studios and, before that, Warner Bros. De Lane Lea as Managing Director. Prior to that, Sheppard spent six years managing British broadcaster Sky. He started in the industry as a production freelancer and later as a post-production supervisor.

Picture Shop locations include Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Vancouver, London, Manchester, Bristol and Wales. It also has daily branches in various production centers such as Austin, Atlanta, New Orleans and Albuquerque.

Parent company Streamland is growing, including the 2021 acquisition of Technicolor Post and Sim. In addition to the Picture Shop, which includes color grading, editing, journaling, mastering and restoration services, Streamland maintains the Formosa Group’s sound division, Ghost VFX and the Picture Head marketing brand.

Said Streamland CEO Bill Romeo of Sheppard: “Kara’s creative direction and filmmaker-centric approach aligns with the same boutique approach as our VFX, sound and marketing departments. I am thrilled that your bold and passionate perspective will help shape the Picture Shop as we continue to expand and grow creatively. “
