Netflix has released the first photos of “The Good Nurse”, a thriller starring Eddie Redmayne (“The Danish Girl”) and Jessica Chastain (“The Big Move”). The photos highlight the two actors as employees in a hospital. Additionally, Chastain’s character is seen alone, while she takes care of the children and talks to the police.
The film will tell the true story of the killer Charlie Cullen (Redmayne’s character), a nurse who was considered a good husband, father, friend and professional, but used her work in the hospital to kill with impunity, having been responsible for the murder of more than 300 patient people. Chastain plays a nurse she worked with who risked everything to catch him.
Based on Charles Graeber’s book of the same name, “The Night Nurse” was written by Krysty Wilson-Cairns (writer of the “Penny Dreadful” series) and will mark the debut of Danish director Tobias Lindholm (“Kidnapping”) in a US production.
The cast also includes Kim Dickens (“Fear the Walking Dead”), Noah Emmerich (“The Americans”) and Nnamdi Asomugha (“When the Street Lights Go On”). The production is by director Darren Aronofsky (“Mother!”).
“Night Nurse” will debut October 26 on Netflix.
