A Better Life Preview: Episode Summary for Wednesday, September 7, 2022 [SPOILERS]

Faced with Justin’s ultimatum, Baptiste replies that Emma is the mother of his life and actually occupies an important place in his life. Still, his girlfriend doesn’t budge. He suspects that Emma wants him back and is not ready to put up with it. So he insists that the Baptist make a choice…

The next day, Baptiste confides in Kevin about the situation. The latter admits that he is not objective, because he always considered his relationship with Emma to be a mythical couple. In turn, Thomas talks to Emma as she picks Mathis up to take her to summer camp. When he announces that things have calmed down with Baptiste, Thomas is optimistic about their relationship.

But in the end, Baptiste goes to Emma to tell her his decision: he’d rather give his relationship with Justin a chance. He adds that he will continue to play the role of father, but that he no longer wants to have contact with him.

Emma takes the news very badly. He goes on a march to drown his sorrows in alcohol. When Barbara refuses to serve her a third drink, Emma goes to another bar. On the spot, a man attacks her by grabbing her buttocks. Emma headbutts him and starts a fight with the bar manager. But her attacker retaliates and Emma falls to the ground…

Vanessa brought breakfast to Roman. When he insists on helping her plan their wedding, she replies that she needs to heal first. He advises her to start with the herbal tea she made for him. A young man deliberately drops a glass and it spills. After getting bored, Vanessa calms down and goes to prepare another one for him. As soon as he turns his back, Romain checks to see if the one he put in his jacket pocket the day before is still there.

The roommate questioned. Mopping the floor, Emily notices his presence and wonders where he’s coming from. Sylvia thinks it’s the paper she used to play the drinking game with Nathan that week. So Emily throws it in the trash.

Later, Sylvia prepares the wedding menu with Barbara. They video call Vanessa to get her preferences on the matter. When Silvia and Barbara also ask for Romain’s opinion, Vanessa agrees to give it to them. He is playing a game.

When Vanessa hangs up, Romain pretends to want her back. As they kiss passionately, the young man manages to choke her until she passes out. This is how he manages to escape from the chain, but cannot find a way out. He’s finally about to climb out of the window when Vanessa points a gun in his direction, urging him to come back to her…

Thomas and Gabriel pessimistically comment on the news they hear on the radio about the fires in the suburbs of Marseille. They especially mention the disappearance of a group of travelers near the Verdier massif. Killian has a cold sweat. He finally admits the truth about Lola and where she really is.

On the other hand, Lola, who passed out due to the smoke, was woken up by Choset. The wolf shows him the path to follow. Despite her fatigue, Lola walks back, surrounded by the lights.

Thomas, Gabriel and Killian join the emergency services at the scene. They find out that Lola’s report didn’t happen. The teenager continues to follow Chaussette, who leads him straight to them. Lola thanks the animal for saving her, then finds her family safe and sound.
