It’s not a joke! The Teletubbies, kids’ favorite characters of the 90s, will return, this time as a Netflix production and starring “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” star Tituss Burgess.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po will be part of an extensive roster of Netflix productions aimed at children. The details on the format of the new series have not yet been released, the only information is that Burgess will be the narrator of the turn.
Since leaving television, this will be the second time the Teletubbies have returned to the screen. In 2014, the show had new episodes on the BBC’s CBeebies channel in the UK and Nick Jr. in the US.
The children met the four colorful Teletubbies for the first time in 1997, broadcast in Brazil by TV Cultura. Friends, who communicate in an unfamiliar language, full of sounds, quickly became successful in the world.
The new Teletubbies have a release date of November 14th.
