Netflix: The star of the TV series was released due to sexual harassment on the set

The Fall Of The House Of Usher Series by Mike Flanagan (Hill House Rest) Loses the lead actor, Frank Langela. The 84-year-old star is accused by one of the actresses of sexual harassment and inappropriate expression on the set. An on-site investigation was conducted to determine the accuracy of the facts. The information, first reported by the tabloid TMZ, was confirmed by the American media Deadline.

The producer’s source explains that the actor’s disturbing behavior had been prominent for several weeks. Frank Langela, one of the actors in the TV series, would make a joke of a sexual nature and even make inappropriate gestures during rehearsals.

Scenes already shot will not be used. The production is currently looking for another actor to replace him in the role of Roderick Asher, in the work of Edgar Allan Poe, the patriarch of the Asher family and the protagonist in this modern adaptation.

While filming for the series is currently underway in Canada, the team will be filming all the other sections in which the character Frank Langela Does not appear. The Netflix platform declined to comment.

Frank Langela appears in 1979 in the skin of the mythical Dracula in John Badham’s film. In 2009, the actor was nominated for an Oscar for the film Frost / Nixon. He collaborated with Netflix in Aaron Sorkin’s 2020 film The Chicago Seven. His participation in the series The Fall Of The House Of Usher marked his return to the platform.

The series is expected on Netflix in 2023.
