After the profiling, research department and the recent shutdown of Alice Nevers, has TF1 found their new profitable police recipe Aim for heart?
Created by Fanny Robert and Sophie Lebarbiere, this new series stars Claire Keim (The Betrayer) and Lanick Gauthrie (Fear on the Lake) as Julia Scola and Novak Lisica, a fearless police captain and criminal lawyer with a devastating smile. As teenagers, they loved each other against all odds. And who have not spoken to each other for twenty years.
Although they followed very different paths, the two cursed ex-lovers are reunited when Novak, who opened the door to his prestigious office, becomes the police commissioner and takes over the head of the brigade in which Julia develops.
Investigating often sordid cases that explore childhood horrors and adult nightmares, Julia and Novak must try to piece together their past and present. Uncover the dark secrets that led to their breakup and this estrangement all these years ago?
Although TF1 broadcasts two new polls this evening, the first two episodes offered last Thursday gathered an average of 4.13 million curious people, a market share of 22.9% of the commercial target of women under 50 responsible for the purchase of women.
A great score that allowed the channel to emerge as the leader in the audience and proves that the series has captivated the detective series loving public. But what about criticism?
According to Le Parisien:
“Of course, the thriller side doesn’t go too far in a lot of ways. Well introduced, the sequences that go back in time, they give us valuable clues about the two protagonists, about the context of the time. Better yet, they hint at clichés – the little one. The girl would be a social worker at best, not a police officer. , like his father – live in two backgrounds…” 4/5
According to Télé 7 Jours:
“Claire Keim-Lanick Guthrie’s duo work brilliantly in this detective series, where the flashbacks reveal with great subtlety what connects these two characters. And for once, a decisive investigation emerges from a ‘common murder’. Intriguing as hell. !” 4/5
According to Télé Loisirs:
“The detective mini-series is fast-paced and addictive, and truly succeeds in reviving a genre that is, nevertheless, very much downtrodden.” 4/5
According to Telerama:
“Feminist, egalitarian and sexy, Heart’s Purpose hits the nail on the head.” 4/5
According to Le Figaro:
“Sophie Lebarbier and Fanny Robert, the creators of the profile, revisit the police duo and go straight to the heart. (…) The actors have a crazy charm, their relationship is electric and we never stop knowing their reasons. A breakdown that we discover during the spectacular finale. 3.5/5
According to TV Cable Sat:
“An atypical detective series with an exceptionally well-written main story and effective production.” 3.5/5
According to TV Star:
“The tenth detective series based on the antagonism between a man and a woman doomed to a game of cat and mouse.” 2.5/5
