Rappers Ice-T and Arabian Prince, formerly of NWA, will develop a comic and animated series called “Death For Hire: The Origin of Tehk City,” which will have a soundtrack composed by another famous ex-NWA rapper Dr. Dr.
“Death For Hire: The Origin of Tehk City” will be a multimedia project, initially released as a comic, created by Ice-T, Arabian Prince and artist Tommy The Animator, then developed for the screen.
The plot will take place in the fictional city of Tehk and will follow a corrupt mayor, his henchman and a murderer involved in various illegal activities, from money laundering to murder. As if that weren’t enough, the mayor still wants to keep up with the competition, a gang called the Roundtable Gang that has been controlling Tehk’s black market for years.
The main vocal cast will consist of Ice-T himself as the mayor, his wife Coco as a killer and rapper Treach as a henchman. In addition to them, Arabian Prince and famous rappers such as Snoop Dogg (“Pitch Perfect 2”), Busta Rhymes (“Halloween: Resurrection”) and comedians Tracy Morgan (“30 Rock”) and Mike Epps (“Upshaw Family”) will also be lending their voices to the series.
“Do you want a real punch in the face? So it’s ‘Death for Hire’,” Ice-T said, in an official statement to advertise the launch of the comic.
“Everyone better prepare for the race for life,” added Arabian Prince. “Featuring brother Ice-T and a never-before-seen roster of stars in the same place, get ready to explore the origin leading up to the Tehk City animated series – you’re not all ready.”
“Death For Hire: The Origin of Tehk City” doesn’t have a release date yet.
It is worth mentioning that the trajectory of the NWA was portrayed in the film “Straight Outta Compton: The Story of the NWA” and Ice-T has a long career in film and TV, being part of the main cast of the long-running series “Law and order: SVU “.
