HBO blockbusters like “The Dragon’s House” also make mistakes and a glitch in the visual effects of the series has attracted attention. But the study promised to fix the problem.
The moment in question was seen and captured by fans of the series attentive to the hands of King Viserys I (Paddy Considine), in episode 3 of “The House of the Dragon”. Viewers of the series caught a moment when a green screen coverage covers two of the character’s fingers, as shown below.

The idea of the green cover was to take two fingers off King Viserys with visual effects, due to his mysterious illness that seems to be advancing. However, the visual effects team apparently forgot to remove their fingers in one scene in particular, where Viserys discusses marriage to daughter Rhaenyra (Milly Alcock).
King Viserys entrusts a role to a messenger, and this is where we see the moment when the green cover on the actor’s finger remains evident on his fingers. The intention, of course, was to digitally remove them, but that never happened.
But, according to the The Hollywood reporter, the episode will be corrected with a revised version coming to platforms soon. This mistake is compared by fans to the “Game of Thrones” coffee cup gaffe, in episode 4 of season 8, which arrived in 2019, where a Starbucks-branded cup can be seen on the scene, after being accidentally forgotten on a table during a scene. The cup was later deleted from the scene by HBO.
This particular mistake was commented on by the “House of the Dragon” co-showrunner himself, who previously joked with THR that the prequel series had “a highly detective movie set – there was a lot of Starbucks hunting in course, “joked Ryan Condal.
“House of the Dragon” will receive a new episode this Sunday, on HBO and HBO Max. The first three episodes of the series are available on HBO Max.
