A new series of Star Wars is coming. On Disney + Day, which took place on September 8, the platform released nine exclusive minutes of Andor, the prequel to Rogue One. The video is presented by Tony Gilroy, screenwriter and executive producer, along with Diego Luna, translator for Cassian Andor.
The author reveals that the plot begins five years before the events of Rogue One and that part of Andor’s childhood will be explored “An exciting story“. A visually faithful sequel to Gareth Edwards’ 2016 film, the series traces the birth of a revolutionary who grew up in war. The clip reveals many new scenes, but also behind-the-scenes footage.
The screenwriter insists on his desire to shoot outdoors with as much natural surroundings as possible. In particular, we learn that there was a real orchestra on stage, playing the series’ music while the actors were responding to the camera. Enough to create instant immersion.
Then the sequence is shown in full: the meeting between Cassian Andor and Luten Rael, the character played by Stellan Skarsgård. The latter, a member of the Rebellion, recruits a revolutionary to confront the Empire.
