But Baptiste suspects that he is just trying to spend time with her when she no longer wants to have contact with him. He doesn’t listen to her when she says she saw abalone shells in the background of Vanessa and Romain’s selfie.

Meanwhile, Romain regains consciousness tied to a chair. He questions Paul from Vanessa, who insists that her father just left. When Romain offers to help her manage her illness with a new treatment, Vanessa rejects him and leaves him alone.

In turn, Emma’s wound is treated by Gabriel at the arcade. The latter admits that the Baptist seems to have been turned aside by the grace of Justin. However, Emma says she still loves him and will continue to fight for their relationship.

While drinking at Marci’s, Emma takes the opportunity to ask Barbara about Vanessa. She will also offer to change it to give a dessert tasting for the wedding. So Emma goes to the neighbor’s house, where Sylvia changes into Vanessa’s wedding dress. Emma notices that the latter has a tattoo on his back: it’s the same symbol hanging in front of Jourdan’s house.

While Emma gives Vanessa a taster, she tries to figure out where she lives. But the bride-to-be quickly moves on. As he leaves, Emma decides to follow him. He only has time to ask Gabrielle to hold Mathis for a while before he hides under the tarp in Vanessa’s pickup truck…

Luna confronts Gabrielle at the Place du Mistral about the hospital bill she received on her mother’s behalf. However, the doctor respects the Hippocratic Oath and does not reveal anything. But Luna, who has not heard from her mother for several days, finds her in Marcel-Est. Mirta admits that her breast tumor was removed. She explains to her daughter that she didn’t say anything because she was in denial.

Gabriel later tells them that Mirta is not in danger because the cancer has not spread. Nevertheless, he must undergo radiotherapy sessions to avoid the risk of recurrence. Mirta is convinced that her recovery is a divine miracle.

When he leaves the hospital, he goes to the church of Per Luc. He tells her that thanks to him he is cured. Father Luc is delighted with her, but she must still leave Marseilles in Roubaix at the behest of his hierarchy. Mirta follows him to the station where he has to catch a train. Two lovers promise to never forget what they shared.

At the hospital, Gabriel informs Eric that the fire is getting closer and closer to Marcel and that their ventilation system can no longer filter the harmful particles in the air. This means that the most fragile patients will be transferred to other hospitals in the region.

This is Simon’s case. However, its transfer is not without risk, and any complications can be fatal. Eric must therefore sign a release to approve Simon’s transfer with full knowledge of the facts.

The ex-cop reflects on the time, and Ariane comes to his support. Eric doesn’t want to put his companion at risk. That’s why he promises to stay with her in Marseille until the end.
