Even though the movie “Visitor from the Future” is currently in theaters, here’s a little history reading to get you up to speed (if you haven’t already!). Because before being adapted to the big screen, the iconic web series, so strong with its success, has already found its way to paper.
Announced in 2012, then released in 2013, comics Visitor from the Future: Chosen of the GodsWritten by Francois Descarque and drawn by Gauche, it takes place between seasons 1 and 2.
In it, disturbed by Raf’s refusal to help, the guest decides to form a new team and look for new companions among the great historical names to go on a mission and save the world. But things don’t go as planned…
After the filming of season 4, Slimane-Baptiste Berhouni began writing the sequel, but this time in the form of a novel, in collaboration with François Descacque. authorized Visitor from the Future: The PackageThe book was published on June 19, 2015 in a paper version.
In this book, we go back in time to discover the visitor’s childhood, youth, built with brief ideas and flashbacks that Francois Descac had for the series, but which he ultimately did not realize.
Finally, a new series Visitor from the Future: The Temporary Squad It was born in 2016 as a manga (or Manfra to us).
Created by Guillaume Lapeyre and Alexandre Desmacias and scripted by François Descaques, we follow the adventures of the Provisional Brigade after Season 4 and a bundle. Three volumes make up this series, available here in its entirety, which was completed in July 2018.
