Charles III (ex-Prince Charles) will be officially announced as the new King of Great Britain on Saturday, although earlier it was said that this would happen today. The Times reported this morning. So, early in the morning of September 9, the new king and queen consort Camilla will return from the Scottish castle of Balmoral, where Elizabeth II died the day before in the 97th year.
First, the king will have his first audience with Prime Minister Liz Truss, and after that, a meeting with the Earl Marshal, Chief Master of Ceremonies and Chairman of the British Chamber of Heraldry Edward Fitzalan-Howard, 18th Duke of Norfolk. He has held this hereditary position since 2002 and is responsible for organizing the upcoming funeral, the exact date of which is not yet known.
The formal proclamation of Charles as king has not yet taken place, but he became one the second his mother passed away, and it could be months before the coronation.

According to The Times, at 10:00 (12:00 Moscow time) on September 10, a meeting of the succession council will be held, at which a new sovereign will be proclaimed. The official announcement will be read at St. James’s Palace and at the Royal Exchange in London, and parliament will be convened to agree on the text of the message with an expression of condolences.
In the meantime, today at 18:00 (20:00 Moscow time) the first recorded television speech of the new King Charles III should go on the air.
