After filming the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, Peter Jackson wanted to forget everything so that ordinary fans could discover the films. And for that he almost turned to… hypnosis!
“When we did the Lord of the Rings movies, I always felt like the unlucky person who might never find them out of nowhere.”Peter Jackson said last month at the microphone of The Hollywood Reporter. “When they came out in theaters, I was in it for five or six years. It was such a shame for me not to see them like everyone else.”
“I was really seriously thinking about seeing a hypnotherapist to get myself hypnotized, from the movies and the work I’d been doing for the previous six or seven years”Jackson continues. “I could sit back and enjoy them like that. I haven’t, but I spoke to British mentalist Derren Brown about it and he said he could do it.”
If Peter Jackson never saw his iconic trilogy through the eyes of a Lambda viewer, he can (almost) do so in The Rings of Power series. The filmmaker isn’t really involved with the Amazon show that just started.
Inconsistency: bugs and errors in “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring”
