Some sequences are interesting because through the police characters or the profiler (Alika del Sol, this is where it all starts), we discover the techniques of the investigators to solve the criminal case. However, these explanatory scenes weigh the story down at times. Shame on you.
Despite all that, Le Mystère Daval offers some relatively successful key moments. The scenes where the murderer confesses to his mother-in-law or recovers his guilt are quite exciting. At the very least, they allow viewers to see Liam Beatty explore a different register than the one we’re used to seeing him in. The resemblance between the actress and Jonathan Daval is also disturbing.
Underpopulated, this school adaptation is likely to appeal to fans of a variety of facts.
