During D23, which took place this past weekend, Disney released the first images of Snow White, played by Rachel Zegler, and the Evil Queen, played by Gal Gadot.
After The Little Mermaid and Mufasa, Disney unveiled the first images of the live-action version of Snow White during D23. The event was attended by actresses Rachel Zegler (West Side Story) and Gal Gadot, who play Snow White and the Evil Queen, respectively.
Directed by Mark Webb, the feature film is a remake of David Carrick’s 1937 classic The Hand. The animated film itself is inspired by a fairy tale written by the Brothers Grimm in the 19th century.

“Evil Queen is a far cry from anything I’ve done before. I am very grateful to have been offered the role of this iconic villain.
I loved every moment. I’m not used to being the bad guy, but I have to say, it’s pretty cool!*”
Wonder Woman’s translator then adds: “PIt was important for me to show that he is not just evil. I wanted people to feel her discomfort. He does not feel safe, he is jealous. It was important to me that we see the very complicated relationship he has with Snow White.”
Walt Disney’s first animated film to hit theaters, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs revolutionized the 7th art. Starring Rachel Zeegler, Gal Gadot, Andrew Burnap and Martin Kleba, the live-action version will hit theaters in 2024.
