A Better Life Preview: Episode Summary for Friday, September 16, 2022 [SPOILERS]

As Kevin points his gun at the inmates exiting the van, Lorraine knocks him unconscious. Agathe goes to him. All the prisoners escaped the handcuffs…

The next day, Revell lectures his teams. Still, Patrick considers them lucky that none of them were hurt and Kevin suffered a minor head injury.

Jean-Paul and Ariane list the fugitives: Pavel, in their opinion, is the worst threat; Agathe Robin, Leo’s former companion, is convicted of murdering her pimp; Javad, a former drug dealer; Stan, arrested for murdering the diminutive Alex Melmont; Livia, a serial killer who preys on women; Finally, Sonya, alias Lauren, was arrested for extortion and murder.

Revel puts pressure on the police to arrest the fugitives. In the meantime, it is forbidden to reveal their identity to the press.

Later, Jean-Paul visits Kevin in the hospital to learn more about the escapees’ motivations. Kevin reveals that Livia and Pavel were talking about their thirst for revenge. Thus, Ariane warns Luna about Pavel. Zéphyr’s owner explains to Bastien that Pavel is her ex-lover and that she left him after discovering that he was a criminal. In turn, Celine warns Leo about Agatha’s escape. He is momentarily lost in memories…

Back at home, Celine calls the prosecutor because she is worried about her client. He doesn’t realize that Dr. Livia broke into his house…

The results of Simon’s additional tests confirm his miraculous recovery. Therefore, he hopes to be able to return home. But Gabriel informs him that he still needs months, if not years, of rehab.

Eric is trying to find out if there is a way to speed up his discharge from the hospital. Gabriel replies that if he doesn’t pay for the medical room at home, which costs around 200,000 euros, he has no choice.

Eric then decides to sell his apartment in Marseille to take out a loan from the bank and pay for a medical room for Simon. He tells her that he wants to live with her on the farm from now on.

So Simon can go home with his lover. Both are floating on a little cloud of happiness.

Baptiste and Emma enjoy their reunion as a family with Matt and as a couple. After making love, Emma confides in her husband how much she realized that she could not live without him. The couple then celebrate their reunion with Gabriel, Thomas and Lola.

Meanwhile, Romain comforts his neighbors, who feel guilty for not seeing anything about Vanessa. Romain says it’s not their fault. In order to recover and move forward, he immediately resumed business at the firm. Estelle is excited to see him again. After a while Mirta comes to listen to Vidal.
