In The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King this Thursday on TMC, we invite you to play the third part of Peter Jackson’s trilogy to try to reach 9/9 in this quiz for experts!
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, released in 2003, is the third Peter Jackson film adapted from J.R.R. From Tolkien’s series of novels. It follows the previous two films, The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers.
We find the many heroes who inhabit this lush world, united more than ever to try to destroy the ring and prevent the terrible Sauron and his mighty armies from carrying out their plans.
Frodo is still with Sam, on the road to Mordor led by the treacherous Smeagol/Gollum, who doesn’t seem to give up on the idea of recovering his “precious”. Meanwhile, Gandalf travels to Tirith, the White City of Minas Gerais, accompanied by Pippin, after the latter sees the city in ruins in Saruman’s Palantir.
After the two companions manage to light Gondor’s fire of alarm, allowing it to alert and unite the various armies, they come to their aid when Sauron’s orc armies arrive.
Peter Jackson’s trilogy was a major cinematic event of the late 2000s, with genuine enthusiasm from fans of heroic fantasy and extraordinary commercial success. Indeed, with an average budget of $93 million per film, each episode generated an average of one billion dollars in revenue.
It was enough for the director to continue his crazy adventure by shooting a new trilogy: The Hobbit. And Tolkien isn’t done dreaming young and big, as evidenced by a new adaptation, this time in a TV series – The Rings of Power – airing on Prime Video from early September.
But for this quiz we will only play with the third part. Can you answer nine questions about the latest adventures of Frodo and his companions?
