The new episode of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” arrived at dawn this Friday (16), with the conquest of an important alliance by Galadriel, which could lead the series to a possible great battle .
Again, episode 4 of “The Rings of Power” has focused heavily on the events of Númenor, where Galadriel and Halbrand are found, after being rescued by a ship from the Isle of Men that was formerly allied. with the Elves.
There, Galadriel tries to re-establish the link between the people of Númenor and his own, broken over the years. But first, we have a glimpse of the apparent nightmare of Númenor’s queen regent, Míriel, with the destruction of the island. We also find out more about what people there think, their politics and a secret that has been kept for years.
Additionally, the episode shows a lot of action in the Southern Lands, where the elf Arondir is imprisoned by orcs, as well as Bronwyn and his son Theo, who have left the village they lived in to escape the onslaught of the orcs, and now they must adapt to a new reality and face other dangers.
The discovery made by Arondir is perhaps one of the most important of the episode and shows the beginning of the formation of alliances on the other side of the war between good and evil that is to come. There too, in the speech of a man from the South Lands, we hear a theory about who the Stranger might be, who fell from the sky to his hairy feet. But can what the man suggests really be true?
As for the hairy feet, they were missing in this episode and were not shown after the events of the previous episode. It is possible that they will acquire more importance in the next due to this absence, which perhaps happened to give them time to complete the migration they have started.
On the other hand, the elf Elrond continues his mission through Khazad-dum, where he tries to carry out his mission, but at the same time discovers that his friend Durin IV is hiding something. It will be interesting to see in the next few episodes how Elrond handles the promise made in this episode with his friendship with Durin and the interests of the elves.
This time around, “The Rings of Power” brought a little more adrenaline to some scenes, but the montage of the series bothers me a bit, with abrupt cuts and scenes and overly long passages in one place.
But the cinematography and special effects of the series remain flawless and the story becomes more and more intriguing, leaving the audience waiting to see where all these events taking place in different locations will lead the characters.
The fifth episode of the series will arrive in the early hours of next Friday (23) and the first four episodes are available on Prime Video.
