The live action, coming in July 2024, tells the story of Simba’s father
After announcing his attractions for the next few years at a fan convention, disney has now revealed the premiere date of some of these programs.
Among the live-action works, snow White arrives March 22, 2024 and the long-awaited Mufasa: The Lion King arrives on July 5, 2024.
Mufasa – The Lion King will show what happened first The Lion Kinga story that became classic as an animation (1994) and reinforced in the live-action version (2019).
The plot will focus on Mufasa, the father of little Simba murdered by his brother Scar, who wanted to steal his throne, in the Shakespearean aspect of the script.
The film will show a younger Mufasa, before he became the king of the jungle. Disney chose Aaron Pierre (actor of The underground railway: the roads to freedom) to be the voice actor of the character. The company also announced that Kelvin Harrison Jr. (who was there Chicago 7) will voice a new character named Taka. Directed by Barry Jenkins, from Moonlight: in the moonlight (2016) and If Beale Street could talk (2018).
The 2019 live-action confirmed Disney’s expectations of repeating the animation hit, earning more than $ 1.6 billion at the worldwide box office.
Animations with the Pixar label also had a preview date: helium arrives March 1, 2024 e Inside and out 2 it is scheduled for June 14 of the same year.
