At least four people have suffered accidents in the hall where the monarch receives tribute from her subjects.
Cameras broadcasting live audiences passing by in the Great Hall of the Palace of Westminster captured unusual situations around Elizabeth II’s coffin.
On Thursday (15), a man lined up to honor the monarch when he made a misstep, lost his balance and suffered a violent fall down the stairs.
From the image, he appears to have been distracted by the wooden urn with the monarch’s body. He ended up lying down between the steps. Everyone around was stunned.
Despite the strong impact on the ground, the man got up quickly. He doesn’t appear to have been hurt. He followed the line and, after standing for hours, paid homage to the king.

This was the fourth such incident since Wednesday (14), when the visit to the coffin in the historic London building began.
A cousin of the Queen, Lady Gabriella Windsor, collapsed when the body of Elizabeth II entered the hall.
A royal guard standing next to the funeral urn succumbed to exhaustion and passed out, falling to the ground face down. Another suffered from dizziness and staggered but managed to recover.
Previously, when the queen’s urn was still in St Egidio’s Church in Edinburgh, Scotland, a guard stationed outside also passed out.
