
Netflix has released the chilling trailer for “Dahmer: An American Cannibal”, a miniseries in which Evan Peters (“American Horror Story”) plays cannibal serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. The actor impresses in the preview, showing the coolness and calmness of the famous killer, as he plans his carnage and serves a sandwich of people to his neighbor.
Based on the true story of the psychopath, the series will tell the life of Dahmer, one of the most famous serial killers in the USA, who killed and dismembered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. The cruelty and sadism of his murders, added to the The fact that practicing necrophilia and cannibalism shocked the police, the public and the media and earned him the nickname of the Milwaukee Cannibal.
Most impressive is that he has repeatedly escaped being caught red-handed because of his white privilege. Good-looking, he always got an apology when police officers were called by his black neighbor, who suspected the crimes. By the way, this issue is featured in the trailer.
The miniseries was co-created by Ryan Murphy (also of “American Horror Story”) and his longtime partner Ian Brennan – the two co-created “Glee”, “Screem Queens”, “Hollywood” and “The Politician “, the latter two together on Netflix.
In addition to Evan Peters, the cast includes Niecy Nash (“Claws”) as the neighbor, as well as Penelope Ann Miller (“American Crime”), Shaun J. Brown (“Future Man”), Colin Ford (“Daybreak”) and veteran Richard Jenkins (“The Shape of Water”).
Directed by Paris Barclay (“Sons of Anarchy”), Carl Franklin (“Mindhunter”) and Janet Mock (“Pose”), the episodes will premiere on 21 September.
