Cobra Kai: Fans dream of seeing these 3 Karate Kid characters

Warning, spoilers. The following article will reveal the main elements of “Cobra Kai” season 5.

Although it started on YouTube Red, there’s no denying that Cobra Kai is now a full-fledged original series on Netflix, and one of the most popular on the platform as well.

A TV sequel to the legendary movie The Karate Kid, the series was able to focus on the movie’s big star, Ralph Macchio, as Daniel LaRusso, and his main antagonist, Johnny Lawrence, who he played. William Zabka..

Over the seasons, other familiar faces, unforgettable characters from the original saga, reappear in the fiction. Some of the most unlikely returns, such as Martin Covey as John Creesey or Thomas Ian Griffith as Terry Silver, broke the cameo barrier and eventually became involved in the story in a long way. Other appearances, shorter but just as satisfying (and surprising!) have also occurred, always to the delight of fans.

Among the most recent examples we find the return of two former Karate Kid 3 (1989): Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan) in episode 5×3, a former protégé of Terry Silver, or even Jessica Andrews (Robin Lively), a friend of Daniel who worked. At the pottery shop opposite the bonsai business, which the latter and Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita) started.

In season 5 episode 5, “Extreme Measures”, it was revealed again that he was also the cousin of Daniel’s wife, Amanda (Courtney Henggeler), and was even the one who introduced them.

Similarly, Cobra Kai season 5 also marked the major return of Chozen (Yuji Okumoto) as a main character after benefiting from a cameo in season 3 and being Daniel’s antagonist in Karate Kid 2 (1986).

Many other characters in the franchise have also crossed the TV box, but there are still many that fans are dying to see again. However, time seems to be running out…

Indeed, the series’ trio of showrunners have already made it clear that they know exactly where the series is going – as well as its ending, which is already on the horizon. Therefore, a potential future renewal of the show may be accompanied by an end date. Whether it will be in one season or two remains to be seen.

So who do fans want back on the show? Check out the three names below for three dream cameos that have yet to come true in Cobra Kai and may never come true. But we can always hope!

Colonel Duggan

Portrayed by Michael Ironside in Miss Karate Kid (1993). He is an ex-Army veteran who led a Boston high school Alpha Elite club frequented by Hilary Swank’s character Julie Pierce.

Duggan and Crease are both Army veterans, and although there is no record of their meeting, it was speculated that the person calling for help at the end of Season 3, Episode 10, is Duggan – who eventually turns out to be Terry Silver. Fans are still hoping that he will make an appearance one way or another…

Dr. Parker

Portrays Jaden Smith in The Karate Kid (2010). She is the main character in the remake, which “doesn’t take place in the same universe” as the series, showrunner Jon Hurwitz confirmed. However, it would be a nice surprise to see Dr. Parker, who was introduced as the “new Daniel LaRusso” at the time, appear in Cobra Kai or just to see Jaden Smith play another character… dream is free!

Julie Pierce

performed by Hilary Swank in Miss Karate Kid (1993). This is the cameo everyone wants. Julie Pearce was Mr. Miyagi’s new student in the 4th film of the franchise, and a showdown between Daniel and his successor would be a real screen bomb. We can only cross our fingers!
