Dragon House Episode 5: Top Viewers of the Season

Please note that the following is the plot of the fifth episode of House of the Dragon, which is available on OCS. If you haven’t seen it yet and don’t want to know anything about its content, I suggest you stop reading this article now.

With the fifth episode of House of the Dragon, titled “We Light the Way,” the series is mid-season. It’s also time to say goodbye to some of the cast. Indeed, Millie Alcock, who plays Princess Rhaenyra, and Emily Carrey, who plays Alistair Hightower, will both be replaced from Episode 6, which marks a ten-year time jump.

HBO has linked this casting change from the beginning. The audience also sympathizes with the two young actors who contributed a lot to the success of the series. But while the story is racing, many events in this episode made the public happy.

Indeed, this episode is quite dense with its plot. Between Daemon (Matt Smith) divorcing his wife in debt, Sir Christon Cole’s (Fabien Frankel) announcement to Rhaenyra and his proposal to run away together to a new life, and finally the celebration of the engagement between Rhaenyra and her cousin. Laenor Velarion (Theo Nate), who turns into a fiasco… viewers get their share of twists.

What did viewers think of this fifth episode?
