Actors Logan Lerman (“Hunters”) and Joey King (“The Kissing Booth”) will star in the miniseries “We Were the Lucky Ones”, developed for the Hulu streaming platform.
Based on Georgia Hunter’s book “We’re the Lucky Ones”, the series will tell the story of a Jewish family that was separated at the start of World War II but is determined to reunite.
Lerman will play Addy, the middle daughter of that family. He is described as an adventurous person who lives in Paris and works as an engineer and as a music composer.
The character is inspired by the story of writer Georgia Hunter’s grandfather. Joey King’s role was not revealed.
The miniseries was written and produced by Erica Lipez (“The Morning Show”), who will also act as showrunner for the attraction. The episodes will be directed by Thomas Kail (“Fosse / Verdon”).
“We Were the Lucky Ones” doesn’t have a release date yet.
Logan Lerman and Joey King recently worked together on the film “Bullet Train” (2022).
Additionally, Logan Lerman will soon be seen in the second season of “Hunters” and the comedy “College Republicans”, which will mark his new collaboration with director James Schamus (“Indignation”), both without a preview date.
Joey King, meanwhile, is involved in the coming-of-age comedy “Camp” and science fiction “Uglies”, directed by McG (“The Nanny”), both without a premiere date.
