Let’s go back to “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” and the deleted scene from the movie in which we see Draco Malfoy rebel against Voldemort to help Harry.
Presented from the very first part of the saga, Harry Potter’s eternal rival in the chairs of Hogwarts, the arrogant Draco Malfoy (played by Tom Felton), has always been one of the main opponents of the little wizard.
An unstoppable Slytherin often flirting with the forces of evil until joining Voldemort’s ranks after his parents, the young man still seems torn between the two camps, ultimately unable to fulfill his mission to kill Dumbledore.
Even if he strongly opposes Harry in the latter parts of the saga, he eventually returns and helps him against Voldemort, as seen in a deleted scene from Deathly Hallows – Part 2.
Indeed, in this very short sequence at the end of the Great Battle of Hogwarts, we can see Draco running up and throwing his wand at Harry, who everyone thought was dead, but who suddenly rises from Hagrid’s hands, alive and well. This terrifying weapon gives the young wizard a chance to face the dark wizard one last time and defeat him.
In the absence of an official version of the feature film, this hidden episode allows Drago to redeem his conscience before the end of hostilities and apparently return to the good side, thus ending his internal struggle. To offer the audience a very different point of view on the character’s progress.
