It All Begins Here: What’s in store for Thursday, September 22, 2022 Episode 493 [SPOILERS]

On Thursday, September 22, it all starts here…

Anais is about to go to work in the institute’s kitchen when her boyfriend stops her. Lisandro learns that he was inspired to create his signature dish by a painful memory, which haunts him. He also wonders if he has been separated lately because of this story. The young woman assures him that this is not the case and still pretends to be under a lot of stress because of her master. Lisandro is sure that this is not the only reason and thinks that it has something to do with David because he has been different since he arrived. Anais does not understand why he is suddenly talking about his ex-girlfriend and assures her that she does not spend time with him.

A little later, Rose and Chef Meyer tell Anais and Salome the conditions of the test: they will have to prepare a starter and a dessert around their signature dish. The tasting will take place the next day in the presence of Chef Teissier, who will help them with their intentions. Since they are allowed to have a clerk among the master chefs to help them, Salome decides to work with Enzo and Anais with Livio.

Anais then reveals to Rose and Chef Meyer that she never talked about the painful memory that inspired her vegan beef bourguignon, even to those who are really important to her. So the young woman is not going to tell them more. which they fully understand.

In the kitchen, Charlene interrupts Anais and Livio, who are preparing dessert. The Tessier girl wants to know the painful memory of her friend at any cost, which she categorically refuses. Tensions quickly rise between the two young women, and Livio is forced to step in to calm the situation.

Convinced that Anais stole someone else’s recipe, Charlene takes advantage of her classmates’ absence and tries to steal Mathieu’s notebook. However, he is surprised by David, who snatches it from his hand.

David then joins Anais in the park to return the notebook to her. The young chef can’t stand Charlene’s repeated low blows anymore and is going to play a little trick on her. Then he starts with “Hat or no hat? to his ex-girlfriend.

Someone stole Charlene’s things while she was showering in the dressing room. A young woman appears in a towel, much to the amusement of Anais and Enzo. It doesn’t take much more to blame Tessier’s girl friend.

Charlene is very angry with Anais and informs Lisandro. A young woman asks him to tell his lover to leave, but the professor does not think that this is a blow to his companion. Indeed, his style is not such childish jokes. Charlene then points out to him that if it’s not him, it must be David since they spend all their free time together.

At the end of the day, Lisandro asks Salome if her lover is sleeping with David. The young woman is very surprised by his question and assures her that they are just friends. In turn, the professor has some doubts, because after the young man came to the institute, he broke up with him. Salome assures him that his evasive attitude has nothing to do with David, which further confuses him. Lysandro then begs her to tell him everything.

Second-year students spent the night in the kitchen to perfect one of Auguste Armand’s recipes. If Lewis’s methods are radical, the results are still there. Indeed, he tastes their dishes, which eventually turn out to be very successful. For her part, Amber believes that Chief Guino was right to push them to the limit and thanks him. However, he doesn’t have time and needs to go to Chef Guino’s course as soon as possible.

In Claire’s class, Amber can’t reproduce the technique of cutting salmon correctly, much to the chef’s annoyance. The student then admits that he has been up all night over his promotion to other students because of his son. The young woman thinks it was a blessing in disguise, but ends up cutting her finger in exhaustion.

A little later, Louis is called to the principal’s office. Claire immediately confronts her son about his methods, accusing him of injuring the student. Amber tries desperately to protect him, but to no avail. Antoine and Chef Guino decided that the situation should not happen again and that he must stick to the schedule.

Louis then accuses his mother of wanting to humiliate him in front of everyone. However, Claire points out to him that if Clotilda or Olivia had done something similar, she would have done the same. The young man continues to scold, knowing that his mother never wanted him to accept the position of professor. On the other hand, the chef does not support his childish behavior anymore and asks him to distance himself.

Chef Listrak asks his third-year students to work in pairs to prepare a vegan dish inspired by the great Japanese chef’s dishes called “Garden of flavors“. This is a very complex salad with no less than 12 ingredients and 4 different flavors: sweet, salty, sour and bitter. Students will therefore be graded on their plate dosage and balance. Elliot offers her boyfriend to work with her, knowing full well that she doesn’t like cooking vegetables, but it’s questionable. Indeed, he knows that Elliot wants to control everything, which worries him greatly. The young man promises that this will not be the case.

A little later Elliot breaks his promise. The student continues to impose his ideas, much to the chagrin of Greg, who eventually decides to create his own dish.

It’s tasting time! Eliott offers a very visually successful flower and herb garden. Chef Listrak congratulates him on his innovative creation and then moves on to the salad Greg created. Olivia can’t help but be amazed: she’s perfect! According to him, his dish is the best in the whole class. Elliot, on the other hand, tries to hide his annoyance.

At the roommate, Greg admits to his boyfriend that he’s made progress in vegan cooking as he watches her cook with Jasmine. Elliot then apologizes for his behavior during class and admits that sometimes he wants to be in control. He also explains that it’s very comforting for him, but he’s still going to work on that aspect of his personality. The two young people are finally reconciled and then share tenderness.
