Netflix has released the teaser for the third and final season of “Dial Amiga Para Matar” (Dead to Me). Revealed on Tudum, the preview is filled with grief, crying, confessions, traffic accidents and the occasional murder.
The attraction marked the return of actress Christina Applegate to sitcoms. She cast as a teenager in the cult “Um Amor de Família” (Married with children, 1987-1997), she hadn’t acted in a series since “Up All Night” (2011-2012).
The attraction even reunited her with comedian Will Ferrell and director Adam McKay, who were, respectively, her co-star and director in the film comedy “The Anchor” (2004). The two former partners produce the comedy, created by Liz Feldman (“Two Girls in Trouble”).
In the storyline, Applegate plays Jen, a seemingly outspoken widow, but with anger management issues. After her husband dies in an accident, she befriends Judy (Cardellini), a free-spirited woman she met in her support group. But as they become unlikely friends, Judy does her best to hide a big secret.
The cast also includes James Marsden (“Westworld”), Diana Maria Riva (“17 Again”), Natalie Morales (“Parks and Recreation”) and young Sam McCarthy (“Condor”) and Luke Roessler (“Legion”) . of the series, which returns on November 17 for its final chapters.
